“We couldn’t have been more pleased with the service from City Transfer. Mike Cook is an excellent representative for the company! When he came to do our estimate, he was able to answer all my questions—much of my furniture consists of older family pieces and he assured me that they would be in good hands.
The crew who came on moving day, October 6, 2025, were friendly and hardworking. They worked quickly and carefully—especially when placing the furniture in our new home. There was not a single scratch on anything. We were pleasantly surprised that the final cost was even less than the estimate.
I hope we don’t move anytime soon. But when we do, we will only call City Transfer.”

“I manage a large, luxury furniture showroom. We have a main showroom and several outlet locations in High Point. Furniture Market twice a year necessitates 20-25% of our furniture being replaced so we can show new product. This requires us to physically move 100+ pieces to another location to be sold as floor samples. Our furniture is heavy and has precious finishes which are delicate. All pieces need to be handled with the utmost care so that they are not damaged or soiled.
When I hired City Transfer to perform this task for me last summer (in advance of October furniture Market), they worked with me for 2 ½ days. They wrapped, loaded, and moved 125 pieces of upholstery and case pieces from our main showroom to our outlet location, ½ mile away. The crew was cheerful, careful, and not afraid of some heavy lifting. I appreciated that they shrink wrapped our upholstery to keep it clean and undamaged. They sent an appropriate number of people, equipment, and supplies (furniture pads, shrink wrap, boxes) to accomplish my job.
I again hired City Transfer in February, to move more furniture in anticipation of Spring Market, 2026. They performed equally flawlessly. I will hire them again in May to move additional pieces that we will be selling off.
I highly recommend this group for furniture moves. Additionally, our sales manager, Mike Cook, was responsive and instrumental in making the whole project work.”

I have worked with Carter and the City Transfer Team to accomplish countless moving projects at UNCG. They are great partners in these efforts. They provide professional service, attentive care and a helpful, problem-solving attitude to make sure each need is attended to and the job in completed with 100% satisfaction. I emphasize 'partners' because in my experience they truly approach this work as an opportunity to join us in our work and make every effort to help us in our ever changing needs.
Guys were awesome! I had a 3 man crew to unload. The guys were on-time, took a quick look around and started unloading the 26’ truck. 3 bedroom sets went upstairs plus a LOT of boxes, living room and appliances on the main. Took them less than 3 hours. Would definitely hire them again.

I just wanted to let you know that our move was great from the storage unit to Brassfield. We anticipate using you again for our future daughter-in-law's move from High Point to the Brassfield address. This one will be a bit easier from a one story town home to the first floor for most furniture. Please thank your workers for their care in transporting our furniture.
